Nothing impresses me more than a well-dressed man.  I suffered painfully through the baggy jean, white tee, big diamond pendant phase it almost shattered my faith in male fashion.  It killed me to see beautiful, many times successful men hidden under such ridiculous clown clothing.  I sometimes watch older movies for inspiration and this past week saw ‘Chariots of Fire’ and the immense effort men put into getting dressed amazed me.  I wanted to be transported back in time to be immersed in the pageantry of it all, the fedoras, the ascots, the three piece suits! Sigh…  Thanks to Pharrell’s pushing of the envelope, Kanye West’s indignation, Tom Ford’s vision, Sean Comb’s focus on the ‘sexy’, Ralph Lauren’s persistence and of course all of the countless women pushing for the resurgence of The Real Man, I see the tide is beginning to change.  This past week I spied a pic of Dwayne Wade (a basketball player! Gasp!) looking like one of the students at Cambridge from my favorite scene in Chariots of Fire, all polished and collegial! I think the NBA dress code was one of the best rules ever created in basketball.. lol.  Peep the pics below of D Wade and the rest of men making moves to step up the male fashion game!
