The September Issue, is a documentary about the legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue Anna Wintour. A real life ‘Devil Wear’s Prada, R.J. Cutler has unprecedented access to Wintour and her team of editors while creating the September ’07 issue of Vogue.  The issue weighed almost 5 pounds and was the single largest issue ever published.  This film promises to be a real account of what happens behind the scenes and I can’t wait to see it!!!!  

Say what you want about Wintour and her cut throat style, but her ambition is something to marvel.  I sometimes wonder if ‘she’ were a ‘he’ would we really care?  Going from being a high school drop out to eventually running the biggest fashion magazine in the world is something to behold.

In any event I’m super excited to see this film! It was the  Official Selection at Sundance and comes out in wide release September 11th 2009.
