Style: Clothing For A Cause, Love Everyday
I watched this and I cried. I know, what else is new, I cry at Cottonelle commercials… But this really moved me. Haven’t felt that way in a while. Watch it, read and enjoy!
LoveEverday.org is a movement created to increase awareness about poverty by making us realize that no matter where we are from or who we are there are some things in life that we have that others don’t. That most of us are far better off than a lot of people and that by celebrating our fortune – our fortune being as simple as friends, family and a roof over our heads – it will make us realize how unfortunate it would be to not have love around us. As Michael Medes from Love Everyday says “By helping people realize and appreciate all the things they have in life, we hopefully encourage them to share their gifts with those less fortunate. Through educating people on the issue of poverty, we help give a face and identity to those that most of society just gloss over or don’t see at all. It’s our goal to show people that they possess the power to make a positive difference in their community and these peoples’ lives.”
Love Everyday has a line of t-shirts that show off this statement. All of the proceeds from the t-shirts go directly to the homeless by providing food, blankets and clothing. Michael spends a lot of time on the streets with the homeless getting to know their stories because as he says “ Sometimes all someone needs is someone to sit and listen to them as a friend.”
Lowe and I love our community and we work on many levels to give back and we were totally stoked to see what Love Everyday is doing!! Every little bit helps.
You can learn more about Love Everyday here (and buy a t shirt while you’re at it!):
Love Everyday will also be selling shirts this summer at Warped Tour in Toronto and Montreal so look out for them.
If you’re not into online shopping and you’re in the Toronto area you can get a shirt at these locations:
Adrenaline Tattoos, and Moog Audio – Slinky Music
Thanks Michael for doing such great work and setting such a good example!
Spread some Love today and Everyday!
