beauty: lowe’s dermalogica regimen
A few weeks ago Coco & Lowe got Dermalogica face mapping done at Ritual2. In a nutshell, face mapping is a way to customize your skin care regimen and help focus on each person’s individual needs.
See footage & explanations of face mapping here!
Last week, Ritual surprised us with customized Dermalogica giftbags!!!Â

Here’s a list of my skincare regimen and what I like about each product:
1. Precleanse: Plant based cleansing oil melts away the layers of make-up, natural oils, sunscreens etc. It has a fresh lemon-like scent and you can feel it get to work immediately. This can be used on dryskin and wiped off with a cotton swab or washed off with water. It kind of lathers if in contact with water too. Pretty cool.
2. Ultra Calming Cleanser: A very gentle cleansing gel-cream. No irritation just soft, gentle cleansing.
3. Daily Microfoliant: This exfoliant is Rice-based and activates upon contact with water. It’s grains are gentle and the product lathers into a nice milky paste.
4. Skin Hydrating Mask: It’s a clear gel that doesn’t make your face feel tight which I always have problems with. Ten minutes later, you wash it off and your skin is soft, smooth and hydrated.
5. Multi-Active Toner: This is used to soothe and smooth skin. It hydrates and prepares your skin for the moisturizer but can also be used after make-up application to set your make-up!
6. Skin Smoothing Cream: I’m not in love with this particular moisturizer, but it most definitely makes my skin softer. Maybe all the other products are so different and this one is just a plain and simple product. I’m probably just crazy.
DAYTIME
7. Sheer Tint Moisturizer: My favorite product! It’s the type of moisturizer that can act as a daytime foundation!! There’s no need to wear a ton of make-up when this moisturizer that also includes an SPF 15 sets your skin tone!
8. Total Eye Care: This also has an SPF 15 which is mandatory for daytime. It’s bright tint helps reduce dark circles and does the trick on fine lines!
NIGHTTIME
9. Overnight Clearing Gel: This is like a shield for your skin during sleeping hours. It’s a clear gel that works for you to eliminate pimples, calm your skin and reduce redness and irritation.
10. Multi-vitamin Power Firm: My other favorite! It’s an eye cream that feels like a primer and contains vitamin A, C & E. It’s the same texture as the of like the C-mollient product I’ve mentioned before.Â
Â
Certain products like the mask, clearing gel and microfoliant don’t have to be used daily and knowing that the most product you’ll need is the size of a pea, reassures you that buying these quality products if a great investment because they last forever!
I’m definitely sold because after using these products for a week, my uber-problem skin isn’t dry, flakey, red with breakouts as it was before. It’s now soft, hydrated, less irritated and brighter!!

Excellent blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally confused .. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot!
