My Mr.’s bday falls just shy of NYE on the 30th (today!). I decided to throw him a party this year and being themed obsessed, I knew it had to be something fun, and what is more glamourous than old Hollywood?
As I was planning out my make-up, I found this super cute video of Lauren Conrad getting dolled up on thebeautydepartment.com.
They make it look SOOOO easy that I might (MIGHT) be able to swing this myself….
Check them out HERE for a ton of fun tutorials and beauty advice!
Are you excited for NYE?!?! What are you wearing? Any cool make-up ideas?
It’s become somewhat of a tradition in my little family to head to New York just before the Christmas break to take in the sights and catch a few of the sales. Since we’ve been going around this time, I always make a point of checking out the windows at Bergdorf Goodman at night. When the sun goes down, and the crowds start to die down, the windows take on a magical life of their own and you’re allowed the time and freedom to peer at their beauty for as long as you like.
This year the window displays were especially beautiful.
The windows are designed every year by Linda Fargo and David Hoey. There’s even a book out with images of the best windows simply titled ‘Windows at Bergdorf Goodman’.
““Minimalism is great. Maximalism is too. What we avoid is medium-ism.” David Hoey on their work in the windows.

With the Holiday season comes a few parties. Not being very good at styling my own hair, I often feel like my hair looks the same at each and every party. With that in mind, I’ve been searching the net for a few hair inspirations; some seem easier to execute then others.
How are you wearing your hair to parties this season? Do you have any holiday hair suggestions?
Basically, I’m obsessed with make-up. Especially palettes! I love the colour coordination and having everything laid out for me, don’t get me wrong I purchase my loose items often, but a palette, especially an eye-shadow combination is awesome-sauce and since their made with complementary colours and ideal looks, it’s also great for beauty beginners that get over-whelmed.
Getting to the main point, Urban Decay released the “Naked Palette” a while back, which basically is a bunch of neutrals, in colours for day and night looks that’ll work on everyone and anyone; sold with a mini eye-shadow primer and a brush.
I don’t think anyone could’ve predicted the frenzy that the beauty world went into when the palette was released. I’m talking back-orders and waiting lists as long as the eye could see or the store would allow!
So naturally, Urban Decay has decided to follow up with a sequel… enters stage left, Naked 2! More neutrals to rock your world, this time they tossed the eye primer, made the brush double-ended (made the other tip a crease/blending brush *thank the make-up gods!*) and added a mini lipgloss in shade “Naked” -obvi! This baby should be hitting shelves early on next year and was already available on the Urban Decay website and they quickly sold out of their first batch (big surprise -_-). Urban Decay is known for their velvety, pigmented shadows and I encourage y’all to swatch them at your nearest Sephora and experience any colour for yourself!
I’ll post a review as SOON as I can get my hands on one!
