dear sir…
Dear sir,
Could you please not change for another day or so? It would be so wonderful if you showed up at Nyood on Friday night dressed as you were last night.

Jeffery gets 2 thumbs up for his individuality! I love it all!!

I finally got the chance to watch The Blindside this weekend. We all shed a collective tear when I first posted the trailer and I’m happy to say that I totally loved it! Please keep in mind that I love happy endings… I watched Michael Oher play this past Sunday and I am all of the sudden a super fan of the Baltimore Ravens! Gooooo Michael! Plus he has the kindest eyes EVER!
P.S. I am fully crushing hard on Tim McGraw (in the most innocent possible way, kudos Faith Hill!) Selected as one of this years People’s Most Sexiest Men, Time McGraw just seems like such a wholesome, sweet, amazing dude! I’m actually convinced that he could be the one man to make me like country and western and quite possibly cowboy hats as well!

This weeks Dear Sir has to go to the one and only Photo Will for rocking one of my fave A/W picks for men, the Fair Isle sweater. Will donned this throwback at the Brazen Hussy fashion show at The Spoke Club.

Loves it! Love you!

This one is for the boys…. Oh, and the ladies, like myself, who love stuff for boys!
There are a few material necessities (in my opinion) that are a MUST for a professional gentleman. Men get off pretty lucky in accessory department, the only pieces of jewelry that I think every man should have are a great watch and some cuff links. I believe the choice of a watch tells a lot about a man because it is one of the few ways that they are given the freedom of self expression through an accepted accessory. One of the only benefits from this recession is the demise of what I would like to refer to as the ‘bling era’, where even men jumped on the jewelry train and began covering themselves in tacky, ostentatious diamond (or diamond like) necklaces, earrings, rings, etc. I hope with my whole heart that the idea of wearing your net worth around your neck is now firmly in the past.
With that being said, because I love watches so much I really think the one place men can make a statement without saying a word is in the watch department. The only real rules that I put forth to you gentlemen (or ladies who are looking to treat your men) is that you remember that
1. Diamonds incrusted watches should be illegal
2. Don’t spend a little bit of money picking up a couple of watches over the years, save your money and treat the purchase of a watch as an investment. Most watches (that come from reputable companies) have a lifelong guarantee so spend that little bit extra to have a watch that you can have forever and ever.
Here are 5 of my favorite watches right now:
Vision board em boys!

If I were a boy I would do everything in my power to marry Colin Cowie, or at least have a couple of sleep overs at his crazy kitted out pad…. *blush* I first saw this lifestyle genius on Oprah a couple years ago and have been in love ever since. He has THE best ideas about entertaining, gift giving, making a beautiful home and throwing the best parties ever. I love, love, love giving gifts and pride myself as being pretty good at it, but this dude is the gift giving and etiquette king of the earth. The dude has a gift room in his house stocked with champers and a slew of various little gifts and cards so he always has something to bring to a party or send to a friend or a client. He can make any occasion an EVENT (my fave) and can even make Superbowl party chic with flavored popcorn in manly rustic bowls and a signature cocktails like The Super Bull:
2oz citrus vodka
3 oz red bull
3 oz lemon Gatorade
1 oz of cranberry
If you’re planning a party, an intimate dinner or even a wedding check out Mr Cowie’s site for ideas and informative ‘how to’ videos.
Here is the master himself on Ellen. Love the lime idea!
