This is what happened to a blonde cheerleader from the O.C. that saw a rock show. She abandoned all things ‘normal’ and, became who she wanted to be. An artist, a dreamer, an individual. She made a bracelet that said one word ‘RUTHLESS’ and the buzz was created. She now has over 20 designs and has been featured in magazines and campaigns such as the NOH8 campaign.

I exchanged my Coco & Lowe ‘love’ bracelet at a club in LA for this one that said FATE and only yesterday did I search for it’s origins. I love all of these bracelets!

I really want to make our first apartment together a place that we love so anything you could share would be so appreciated “

Hi LaLa,

I totally identify with this – I just moved to TO in last September and I am still working on my place.  I have to come to understand that good things can come in small packages, it is all about finding your style and maximizing the use of space. Remember to always invest in the essentials like the sofa and your bed, because these pieces are going to follow you everywhere and need to last.

So a few words of advice:

1. Quality over Quantity. The eye travels quickly around a small space, so you want everything to have meaning and impact as well as make sense in the space. (photo via)

2. Over scale. The key is not the type of furniture, but its scale so look for one large-scale piece, such as a round table in a corner or a large canvas, mirror, or light fixture to trick the eye, create a focal point and make the space feel larger.(photo via)

3. Keep things organized . Try to find furniture that is double duty as decoration and organization. In small spaces its really important to cut down on visual clutter. (photo via)

4. Mirror Mirror . Mirrors everywhere in a small space can creates incredible depth. Use mirrors in unexpected places to create the illusion that there’s a wall and lighting on the other side. (photo via)

5. Light Bright . Lighting is very important, keep rooms well lit so that rooms feel fluid an open. Even without an overhead light you can make a room feel comfortable with a beautiful, special table or floor lamp to give a room instant style and ambience. (photo via)

6. IKEA is an excellent for essential pieces at great prices, but if you have the time and are not in rush be patient and shop around. These are some of my regrets as I come to learn that there are amazing gems throughout the city like private owned smaller chains, or vintage stores. Saggy bums aren’t cute. It makes your booty look flat and your suit look to big.

1. Get a needle and thread that is the same colour as your bikini.

2. Tie a thick knot at the end of your thread.

3. Sew a Running-Stitch from the middle-back of bikini bottom to the top-middle.

4. Pull tight, which will gather the stitch to make a ruched look

5. Tie a secure knot and voila!

This is a quick solution to a saggy bum but remember that your stitch is vulnerable to breaking. If you’d prefer to switch all your bottoms over, get a seamstress to put an elastic on the inside and they’ll do a secure job for you.

I was skeptical of the ruched-bottom bikini because it looked tiny but it actually makes your booty look more full!
