Blonde bombshell, Josie Dye of Cosmo TV & CFNY 102.1 hosted the event

We got to chat with Alain Larivée, Canadian Creative Consultant for John Frieda®  who walked us through the blonde line and gave us some tips & tricks for styling.

Blo was also there helping with the speed styling.

1. BUFFER

Buffing the nail can remove any bumps, skin or dirt that is on the nail and help the base coat properly coat the nail.

2. NAIL POLISH REMOVER

Quickly glaze over each nail with nail polish remover so that any lotion, oils or dirt is removed directly before applying the base coat.

NOTE: A lot of times nail polish chips because of oils that were present on the nail bed before polish application.

3. BASE COAT

Base coat helps prevent staining of nails.

4. POLISH APPLICATION

Apply the first coat to each nail and apply the second coat directly after.

5. TOP COAT

Complete the process with a top coat, which prevents chipping and fading and also enhances shine.

TIP: Glaze over the tip of each nail to help prevent chipping.

These steps will ensure a perfect application and leave your nails looking fabulous!

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of meeting with O.P.I.’s head honchos from Los Angeles to discuss their new collection called Nicole by O.P.I. Nicole was designed for consumers as a less costly alternative to the spa priced regular O.P.I. nail polish and retails in stores like Shoppers Drug Mart ($10.49) and Walmart, among others.

The colours are fancy and fun being directed at teens, but also catering to all types of women wanting to express their personal style. My giftbag included a bunch of colours I’ll definitely be trying!

Seeing as sexy Valentine’s Day is coming up, I had to tell you about these awesome little tootsies for your footsies! Who needs to waste money on lingerie when you can dance and prance around in these cute foot accessories!

Owner, Kristen Vander Hoeven came up with this idea when modeling in Greece. Running around the hot streets of Athens in heels from casting call to photo shoot , she found herself cutting up her little sockettes just to cover her toe area so as not to be seen under her heels. Who knew that this would turn into such a convenient and trendy item!
