Last week, we were invited by The Coveterie to a preview a holiday trunk show by Oh Dina!

Oh Dina! millinery and hair accessories are lovingly handcrafted pieces from Canadian Designer Nicole McInnis in Toronto. The pieces are inspired by vintage femininity while fusing modern elements and unusual millinery techniques. The line features fascinators, headbands and accessories that possess a one of a kind individuality.

Loved the hair pieces, they are very unique and one of a kind. Prices range from $ 40- $ 80, depending on the detailing. Oh Dina! hair pieces are a great gift to give to a girlfriend or to wear this holiday season.

For more info on the line and where to buy, visit their website: www.ohdina.com.

So I totally know that I’ve been literally bombarding you guys with H&M news (Can’t help it, love the clothes, love the brand!) but I woke up this morning to freakin’ STELLAR news… H&M designer collabs aren’t going anywhere and we’ve already found out that the next collab due in stores March 8th, will be with none other than Italian-label extrodinare MARNI!
Now while Donatella Versace focuses more on a woman’s sex appeal in her clothing, the Marni label prime focus is in colour, design and shape. I don’t think it will have the same mass appeal as Versace did, but I’m sure fashion aficionados everywhere are a tad bit more excited for this launch than the previous, I love Versace to the core, but MARNI?! This is a big one … next is Celine (hopefully, in my dreams, H&M are you reading this?!)
So I won’t bore you anymore with my thoughts, here’s a sneak peek courtesy of Fashionista.com

LOL, this definitely made me laugh and thought y’all would too!

“How. Many. Times. Will. This. Stupid. Story. Get. Written. Folks, there is no link between lipstick sales and the performance of the overall U.S. economy, nail polish sales and the economy, tie width and the economy, or heel height and the economy. This shit is dumb, under-reported, thinly sourced conjecture-slash-planted “news” from the makers of the above products — received wisdom based, in the case of the heel hypothesis, on the notion that platform heels were invented in the 1930s (which they weren’t). High heels are not the “new” economic indicator. In fact they are no economic indicator at all. You know what is an economic indicator? Fucking unemployment. The Consumer Price Index. Retail sales. Sales of durable goods. New home construction. Not fucking neckties or lipstick or ladies’ shoes, you idiot business reporters who will evidently take any excuse to write a ladies-be-shopping headline and who apparently don’t know how to Nexis and are therefore unaware that this story has been done to death and is not and never has been in any way true. I have been really inspired and huge supporter of The Art of Re Use project in the past few years. They offer a boutique style shopping experience for thrift and vintage pieces, giving a really different take on second hand shopping. Sean Brown, the co-founder + brand director is a constant inspiration for me taking a less is more approach in his design aesthetic and promotion of the Interim brand. If you think about it we all are trying to live in a more sustainable manner – shopping thrift is eco-friendly, and the ideology of re-use for me has never come to focus when it comes to fashion. I personally have been dabbling in vintage shopping here and there, and I have to admit that my few purchases are some of my faves.
Check out the documentary from a few years ago further explaining the amazing concept . .

I am eagerly anticipating their first Women’s shop in February 2012 featuring stylist Sarah Vee who is curating the collection. The following is the third Interludes Lookbook, giving us a brief look of what is to come in the new year.
