A week has gone by since we raised approximately $50, 000 for The Remix Project Charity. I can’t stop looking through the pictures of the picnic and reception/event to see how many great people came together to help this amazing program stay alive!

So we are still waiting for a few auction items to be picked up and paid for, but as of right now last night we raised just over $30,000.00!!!!! WOW! I must say I feel like one proud mama and I just wanna cry tears of joy and clap and scream Hercules! Hercules!! I am speechless!
We will be posting pics very soon. Yesterday was the longest day ever for Lowe and I, so when we recover we will be back on track- just had to give you guys a quick update!

The Auction is looking CRAZY for this event.
I went out last night and the response I got from people whom I reminded to come out tomorrow was INSANE! Veterans to the game (of life) only wish they had a program like this growing up with no real guidance and assistance. Young’ins are taking this program seriously and prefer to be in the Remix environment than other work/co-op/volunteer environments. Celebrities are event paying the $25 entrance fee to attend this event and have no problem with it! You are all helping make a difference!!!
If you would like to attend the reception in order to take part in the silent auction, you are most welcome to join us at Circa between 6-9 to bid on items you may want.
We have sports memorabilia including a signed Lebron James Jersey as well as a Chris Bosh Jersey, soccer memorabilia (FC / Houston Dynamo) Dresses by Brazen hussy and CC Designes, LG Phones, Gym Memberships, Restaurant and Clothing Gift Certificates, an Epiphone Acoustic Guitar, XBOX, and a ton of other prizes!!
Seriously, bring cash and bring your Checkbooks because after you see the art of talented Remix Graduates, you will be blown away by the program and the whole Remix Project Movement!

It’s only a couple of days away and we are soooooo excited!! The reason why I got involved in this whole Give Money Make Change movement to save Remix is because of something I read on Will’s Blog. Will happens to be one of the Remix success stories and an uber awesome dude, so for those of you who don’t know, this is Will:
Will was living proof to me that the Remix Project works. After I got involved I began to realize how much the Remix Project has impacted my life. CC (a designer I have feature many times on the blog) worked for me once and is a Remix grad. Karla -who is also a Remix alum- was integral in the creation of cocoandlowe.com as she was the designer!!
I have also met a lot of other participants that have become success stories and I am so happy to be helping to save this amazing and necessary program.
Come out this Thursday June 11th and dance ’till the lights come on for an extremely worthy cause
