My friend lola tweeted some lyrics from this song last night and it totally brought me back to Newmarket driving around in my Mum’s Volvo listening to my Women and Songs cd.  Classic!

Although the above Alana Davis version was on the Women and Songs cd, the song was actually written and originally recorded by the super talented Ani Difranco.  Here’s her version live
