You do not buy stocks through The Motley Fool. You will need to use a third party brokerage account for that. The Motley Fool sticks to recommending stocks and providing general guidance.
Just so, is Motley Fool a ripoff?
It’s a scam. Worked with 2 of their writers when we were considering them to produce online educational materials for us. They are incredible writers and great at trapping gullible people, but they’re returns are crap. Obviously they did not do a great job at creating edu content and we didn’t not move forward.

Is it worth it to buy 1 share of stock?
Is it worth buying one share of stock? Absolutely. In fact, with the emergence of commission-free stock trading, it’s quite feasible to buy a single share. Should you invest in IPOs?
IPOs can be overrated — if a company is a good investment, it’ll be a good investment well after the IPO. In fact, it may even be better to wait until after the IPO, when the price of the stock stabilizes or even drops as the excitement dies down. Also, make sure you don’t get carried away with IPO investments.
Do IPOs usually go up or down?
Yes, most IPOs go up and surge on their first opening day because on the opening day there is no one to sell the stocks immediately as compared to older IPOs so the company gives 3 days for the investors to invest and on the fourth day it releases it’s share price after investors invest.
